In what area of IT is the application of knowledge not the most important?
Hello! I, like many here, have been interested in technology since childhood. Now I work as a programmer and of course I continue to be interested in them :) I am surrounded by people - colleagues and just "it-party" - who love to create something new. When learning new frameworks or any other tools, they first of all seek to apply their knowledge, file some kind of their own pet project or improve an existing, albeit clumsy, albeit useless project - the main pleasure is to make something work. And it's very cool - when people do what they enjoy.
But behind me, since the beginning of my career as a developer, I increasingly notice that I do not like to apply my knowledge. I love to study technology, understand and delve into, but as soon as everything is clear, it becomes uninteresting. It is not interesting to write code, it is not interesting to implement even your own ideas, even on your favorite and very cool technologies. Here is an ideal working day - half a day to understand something, half a day is to explain in simple language to others who are interested. But in the job of a programmer, of course, the most important thing is the embodiment, and I feel like I'm starting to burn out, hate the job and feel unhappy. Hence, finally, the question: somewhere it can be useful, be a strength and generally work - to understand, but not to apply?
PS Sorry for such a footcloth, I just wanted to clarify the question and avoid answers like "Are you tired of programming? It's burnout, take a vacation, everyone went through it", here's another

Keep blogs, telegram channel. This is something like teaching, educational activities.
A mixture of a humanist with a techie. Here Bobuk in Yandex does the same. He does not code himself, but he tells the rest how it works and how to put it into practice.
But, in fact, curious programmers do the same thing.
1) teach
2) science / research / tests
can be combined 1 and 2. The main thing is to find where they will pay for it.
I combined 1 and 2. the best time, according to sensations. but exchanged it for money. Sometimes I'm not sure if I did the right thing...
