In Netbeans 8.2, how can I adjust the position of the inserted comment on pressing 'Ctrl + .'?

In Visual Studio Code, when using keyboard shortcuts to comment out a line, slashes are inserted before the visible characters in the line. That is, indents from the beginning of the line are preserved and the code continues to be well-formed. In Netbeans, comments are only inserted at the beginning of a line.
In words, the question sounds creepy as a chore. Here's a screenshot

I'm using Netbeans 8.2, but on 9 and 10 it's the same.
