Improved text editor in Qt - how to do it?

Qt. I want such an editor in my program.
1. Draw a ⤶ sign for each input character 0A. Better not black.
2. Draw a yellow dot for every space 20. On a non-breaking space A0 - some other character, brighter. In general, so that spaces are visible, but not highlighted.
3. All other controls 01 ... 09, 0B ... 1F - some kind of clearly visible sign.
What is the best way to dance?
