IIS and custom 401 page - how to remove the login and password dialog box?
Good afternoon TOASTER!!!
Ben , ah nod help . The problem (or maybe not a problem at all) is the following!
There is IIS7, there is a certain portal on which users are authorized using AD ... everything is ok with this, but there are 401 more pages that they wanted to make custom and with their own design, they did, everything is ok. But at the time of loading this page by an unauthorized user, a browser dialog pops up requiring a login and password .... when authorizing, everything is buzzing, there is a redirect to the main pages. But in theory, this is not necessary, and the user, who was previously allowed to use it, will never get to this 401.
Now the most important question is HOW to get rid of (prohibit creating) this authorization dialog box ???

The bottom line is that there is no authentication at all along the way for the 401.
PS Or in the software, for path 401, remove the requirement to enter, of course, if the software can be edited, i.e. fix in code and rebuild.
