I want to set up a debian server for development. How?
Hey! I've been developing on Denver for a long time. everything suits... But I would like to do everything closer to the field conditions.
I heard that they raise the machine to virtualbox and put debian there, or something similar...
And they work like with a remote server right at home. Since technically the Internet is not always available.
The question is, I technically know the process of how to do it. BUT I would like to find a ready-made system image with all the components for offline development. php apache mysql is even possible and wider like python node mongoDB so that if you experiment
, I hope it’s clear what I want)

Everything is very simple, take a virtualbox, or better yet vmware player, it's free, go and drag the finished image from here www.osboxes.org/debian
Next, call tasksel in the system as root and select your favorite lamp. Good luck in doing the right thing.
virtualbox.org + vagrantup.com + rove.io
vagrant-up
True, everything will be on Ubuntu 12.04, but it's almost like Debian ;)
Vagrant of course.

If it's closer to the field conditions, then set it yourself and from scratch (sit and poke "next").
There are no problems in the installation. Unless there is a tremor in the hands and miss the buttons)
Raising the OS from scratch has an important plus, you roughly know how it's done, it's much easier to look for problems and solve them later.
But the vagrant and the finished image are not exactly field conditions.
Although it all depends on what you want:
Do you want to not understand how it works inside. You take the preset and it always works.
If you want to understand, you do everything yourself, experiment with settings, catch jambs, learn to fix them.
You get experience in both options, but in the second option it is much wider.
If you choose the first option, then I advise you to get acquainted with Chef, then it will be quite simple in the end.
Why take a ready-made image. In virtulbox, debian is elementary to install and works out of the box, it can deliver something, but on the Internet everything has already been chewed and chewed, there will be no problems. You can also put the ubuntu server there, probably you don’t need to deliver anything at all. And virtulbox just forwards the ports and that's it, and work on your health, you can set up two cards in the virtulka, one external, in order to use turnips.
