I saw on one site that jdk 8.25 is not suitable for Android Studio and IntellJ Idea, but only 7, is that true?

For Intellij idea / android studio to work, it doesn’t matter which java (except for os x)
The dalvic / art virtual machine (which executes code on the android device itself) only supports java 7 features (in the answer everything is described what and where in more than detail)
Perhaps there was in view of virtual machine names on android devices?
