I removed pulseaudio and now I can't install it. What to do?
First, I generally entered the command:
$ pulseaudio --kill
and, accordingly, the sound disappeared, after restarting the system it was required to enter every time:
$ pulseaudio --start
Decided to reinstall
In general, I removed it like this: $
sudo
apt-get remove
pulseaudio
get install pulseaudio
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package pulseaudio is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package 'pulseaudio' has no installation candidate
Before that, I also did update and upgrade
. I also tried to add repositories:
$ sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ubuntu-audio-dev/ppa
But after update I got 404 Not Found packages.
The sound is gone, the mixer is gone. I do not know what to do.
