I have work on AAA projects in the future, so should I choose Unreal Engine just because it has c++?

I apologize in advance if this question has already been asked. I am a student, during my studies I studied c++, c#. But the level of proficiency in these languages is quite low. Actually, what is the point, I decided for myself that in the future I want to work in the gaming industry. In all the companies I was interested in, programmers with knowledge of c ++ are required. I decided to make my first game. Now I am faced with a choice between the two engines Unity and Unreal Engine. Should I choose Unreal Engine just because it uses c++? If I understand correctly, large companies use c++ for development on their own engine, so can Unreal Engine give me the opportunity to get a feel for working in a large company? And if it can, then I will be grateful for the advice of the literature on this and the engine and c ++ itself.

At the very least, Unreal Engine will give you an idea of how C++ jigs work.
Based on the fact that now they have custom engines, it is impossible to conclude that this will continue to be the case.
For the first project, it is not necessary (and not even desirable) to take something monstrous. Try to take a smaller and simpler engine (there are enough of them on the pluses). Make a game, face real development challenges.
If you immediately start working on a "combine", you will not understand many of the decisions that are made in it.

And what prevents you from studying at least superficially several engines, but in more depth the one that you like / on which there are more vacancies / more salaries?
