I downloaded a file with a virus, is it dangerous?
Good time! I downloaded the lighyshot program (for quick screenshots on Windows). Before downloading the link itself, I checked it in VirusTotal, everything is ok. I downloaded the boot file, it loaded onto the computer, so I checked it in VirusTotal, and it showed 2 malicious files (a trojan and something else). I did not install the boot program itself and immediately deleted it. Is there anything terrible?

Of course, since winxp we remember about the virus that was located in lnk files, which was launched simply after viewing the list of files (its icon) in Explorer, and remembering how Microsoft treats the quality of the code of its division so far (how absurd 0 -day vulnerabilities periodically slip), the chance that your computer is now infected - exists
but it is very low.
ps Microsoft's explorer is such a monstrous application, with huge legacy layers, containing a bunch of plugins and extensions that add ambiguity in work (you never know what bug will be found in codecs installed by third-party applications, on the basis of which thumbnails / thumbnails are generated, the classic attack vector is dll are loaded locally and not from system directories) that everything is possible there, and it is not recommended to use it in principle
