I can't connect to Oracle from a virtual machine, what's the problem?

The program is written in C++, UniDAC Component. But that's not the point.
When you try to connect from a working computer, the program connects and works.
When trying to connect from a virtual machine, the error "Socket error 10061" occurs, but the server responds to the ping command.
I also have my own Oracle on my work computer. And the program with VMware Workstation also can't connect I'm
using VMware Workstation

Check tnsping dbname
at the command line. If OK, then the database is available.
