I can’t add a PC to the domain via VPN, although I can access the DC by the domain name. Why?

Hello!
On Windows 2012 Server, I configured VPN with a built-in mechanism. Connected to the server. Launched a ping to the domain controller by IP, the ping goes. Launched a ping to it on a domain name, a ping goes. I tried to go to the network folders lying on the domain controller, it comes both by IP and by domain name. I began to connect the computer to the domain, entered a name, clicked OK, a window appeared with a username and password with the right to add a PC to the domain. Entered. The PC thought for a minute or two and issued a window that it could not find the specified domain. Registered DNS of the domain controller on all network interfaces. The result is negative. Why is this happening, can anyone suggest?
