I am studying java for the 3rd month, please help with advice on where to move and is it possible to start looking for internships or is it too early?

Hello everyone! Please help with advice. I have been studying java for the 3rd month already, I like it, it seems like I understand (sometimes there are difficulties, but with sufficient effort everything is understood). I’ve reached multithreading, I’m learning English at the same time, I’m solving problems on codewars, I’ll soon finish java core and start studying frameworks spring, hibernate, etc. (which is required in most vacancies), I recently quit my job and devote a lot of time to studying enough for another 4 months of living). Do you think it is possible (should) to start looking for internships with further employment or is it too early? In any case, I will continue to study on my own, it’s just that sometimes I can’t guess how deeply I need to study this or that topic and prepare for interview questions, and thoughts “do I really learn what I need?” .

First of all, I note that you quit your job in vain, because the time is very inopportune to look for a new one. In addition, it is worth noting that solving problems on codewars is a waste of time. It is better to write some real programs. Finally, the answer depends on personal learning, which is different for everyone, and exactly how you learn. And then all of a sudden you watch video lessons on YouTube for the third month, then you don’t have to continue further.

This is a common question, and the answer is the same regardless of language/stack:
Just start going through social security. You will find out what your weaknesses are and what employers actually need, for the tenth social security you will already be able to get some kind of offer.

Am I really learning what I need?
Well, it is necessary to read your thoughts, whether you are teaching the right thing or not.
Judging by what everyone wrote, everything is OK, but how it really can not be said without personal communication
is it possible (should) to start looking for internships
Until you start, you can't tell. Just during the search, it will become clear what gaps there are in the preparation.
In general, it is unlikely that you are learning something useless, even if it is an old mammoth shit, but then you will understand why it sucks and why they use something else. It's important to know what, why and where to use.

Good afternoon.
Perhaps each of us wondered whether he was learning relevant information or wasting time. In principle, everything that you described is relevant. Java Core, Java EE, OOP, AOP, Spring (whole ecosystem), Hibernate, Jenkins, git, SQL, html, css, xml, json, maven, gradle, etc.

Do you think it is possible (should) to start looking for internships with further employment, or is it too early?

Yes, you can start, you need to search. If they do, then why not. You can even take orders from freelancing and try yourself in this area. To begin with, take simple tasks (parsers, bots), and then improve your skills.
It is also very important to write a couple of pet projects for yourself.

Didn't find what you were looking for?
