HTC Legend software update?

Who has this wonderful device, have you updated to the new firmware 2.2? How are the changes? I read on the forums, people are not very happy. They say that it began to significantly slow down and hold the battery very little. Is it so?

Satisfied with the update. Everything has become faster + obvious pluses with the ability to transfer to a memory card. The only new glitch is that the weather widget often flies. The pros far outweigh it.

I have no idea, after an unsuccessful update (6 months ago, when Wi Fi completely fell off for some), I installed root, now I'm looking for instructions on how to return from root to off-firmware. Apparently I'll have to dig w3bsit3-dns.com again and torment the bootloader :(
Because now the root firmware "sees" 2.2, but after downloading and rebooting it refuses to install :(

It was 2.1 + universal Androot + SetCPU, which made it possible to soft-root the phone and unlock the multiplier (when the screen is on 128 - 600 MHz, when the screen is off - 19 - 256)
Set 2.2. Everything is wonderful, smart and pleasant, but universal Androot did not work, and the Visionary + + SetCPU bundle began to inexplicably hang up the phone half a day after loading. And sometimes it's just a frieze for a couple of seconds, and sometimes it hangs in full and does not even respond to the lock button. As a result, the phone returned to the standard 480-600 MHz. Live became one and a half to two times less. Barely enough for a day with wifi turned on and active use as a player =( However, before installing the above software for 2.1, the lifetime was not much longer (maximum 10 percent)
But in general, there are no glitches, the interface has become noticeably more responsive and transferring programs to SD helped a lot.
I do not want to do a hard root, because
