HP ProBook 4740s does not see the battery, I saw the old one, but put it in (replica), does not want to stubbornly perceive, what could be the matter?
HP ProBook 4740s stopped seeing it after replacing the battery with another one. Works from a network.
He saw his native battery and now sees it (there is "0% - connected, not charging, the battery is EVERYTHING"). They bought and installed another one (replica), does not want to stubbornly perceive, what could be the matter?
One of the options that the laptop does not see the battery may be the incompatibility of the controller in the battery and the power supply in the laptop.
Or maybe the laptop does not recognize it due to software settings in BIOS / Windows ..
How to choose the right battery for a laptop? Go to the store and check right there?

In addition to the suggested options for overcoming this problem, you can try (if you can) carefully open both batteries, disconnect the lithium cells of the new battery from the controller and solder them instead of the old ones to the controller of the old battery, after which the old battery is assembled and used. Throw away the old elements and the new controller.
This method will not work if the controller has a loop counter. If it exists and interferes with turning on the converted battery, it will have to be reset somehow.
