HP DL360 Gen9 NIC 560SFP+ Is it compatible with SFPs from other vendors?
On hand there is an HP DL360 Gen9 server board with NIC 560SFP +
Interested in the question, is it possible to plug in a NIC 10G SFP + board from other manufacturers or only from HP?
And there are suitable SFPs from third-party vendors, then from which ones?

There are several such servers with HP Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 560FLR-SFP+ Adapter.
This is the good old Intel 82599ES, so if you really want to, you can load the ixgbe module with the option allow_unsupported_sfp=1 and then it will definitely eat everything.
It works for me with no-name DAC cables without additional parameters, and with most SFP +, if the parameter is set.
This, of course, is about Linux.
Their switches only love their sfp. I think the situation is the same with servers, but if the price of the issue is small, take a chance.
