How would you rate Ward's Linux Internals?

I'm a little oriented in the OS like ubuntu. I can do simple tasks.
I would like to know the system better and more confidently navigate it. The OS is needed to develop software for microcontrollers and simple PC programs (interfaces + communications). Combining with software for the home. Who read like a book? It seems that there are few pages and the content is quite voluminous

I flipped through the first 6 chapters diagonally: not bad, quite modern and without obvious crap.
You won't learn how to program using it, but you'll get an idea of how everything works.
