How would you design a responsive layout for a profile?

Hello. I can’t figure out how best to arrange the elements of the personal page (photo, description, wall) in an adaptive layout, moreover, in the entire width of the screen? Or is it better to do such things still fixed?
Thank you.

My opinion - the maximum width is 1200, on the toaster 1000 for comparison.
Let Lebedev's fans throw tomatoes at me here, but for me, in our time, a limited number of resources can be done in full screen, for example, a map service or some kind of drawing tool.
If the main content on the site is text, then a width of 1200 is more than enough. And then it is better to break the text into columns or give only part of the page for it.
See linkedin.com for an example. In my humble opinion - a great example of a social network. Facebook is hard for me. Vkontakte is too old-fashioned.
