How will you correctly install the solution in CMS bitrix?
CMS bitrix for small business was installed, a standard template for an online store was also installed for it, after that a paid template from the marketplace was purchased and installed.
Problem:
the new template was placed in a separate folder, which opens at site.com/newsite, and on site.com, of course, a new one opens, but incorrectly, with the data of the old template. What needs to be done so that the new solution is put as the main one, in the main folder?

The answer is simple - do not use this stupid solution, which was terribly promoted, because it works on stupid crutches and logs that normal programmers stumble on, and everyone else uses it purely to say "I use Bitrix", although in fact everything is very sadly. Bitrix programmers are not programmers, but "constructors" from a bunch of modules that are ready-made in folders, with terrible code. With paths in links, in general, a terrible problem, you need to create a bunch of new files for something to work, in general, I poured out everything I think about this system.
As for your problem, my advice to you, if there are no integrations with 1C Bitrix, hire a normal programmer who will write a site on another system, for example WordPress ( wordpress.org/), much better,
And then, /newsite how did the template get there? Or files? Perhaps it is in this newsite folder that your index.php file is located? In Bitrix, everything is tied to files, and therefore they die very quickly physical. host disks.
And the question should not be "What needs to be done to make the new solution be put as the main one, in the main folder?", but "Who can help with ...", because Bitrix is a place of all kinds of opportunities. And "by eye" to say what the problem is - is unrealistic.
ps. I made 1 project on Bitrix. Enough. (large portal).
Reinstall without installing the standard IM template.
Now you have rubbish.
Or delete everything from the main folder, move it from newsite to the root and set the template to the root in the site settings
You can uninstall the new template and install it again, but specifying the site root as the path.
You most likely have not so much a template as a ready-made site,
what is now in
"Settings -> Product settings -> Sites -> List of sites"?
And, accordingly, in the "Site Template" setting of the desired site?
