How to write your own audio player without using libraries?

I understand that there have already been a million such questions, but I did not find anything specific.
Please tell me where to dig / what to read to write your own audio player? Your from the word at all. Using various libraries like bass is boring and not interesting. On what I write it - it does not matter.
