How to write mediaStream to node.js?

Node.js

A mediaStream arrives at the node server via a p2p connection, which subsequently goes to other clients. How is it possible to record this stream in real time to a file on the server along the way?

I looked at different modules but they are all outdated 5+ years ago and so far nothing has worked for me. It seems to be not a difficult task, but I have been looking for a solution for 2 days.
