How to write an Android application with AngularJS on the front and Firebase on the backend?

Is it possible not to use Java at all, but to write the entire client in js? I'm interested in the connection with Firebase. Ionic, as an official lib, they cut out, as I understand it, and AngularFire only works for the web and does not apply to mobile. I was told that you can write a "minimal" standard application on Android and add a tool there, such as a browser, and there already display the front, like a page in the browser. Does such an approach have the right to life? Are there other options? Can you give examples, or send links to similar projects on github?

Why not?
There are ready-made "Java wrappers" built on this principle, such as Cordova / PhoneGap, you don't have to write a single line of Java code.
