How to write a simple network device interaction emulator in python?

Good afternoon, dear experts. I want to write a mini network device emulator in python. a very simplified analogue of GNS3 or Cisco Packet Tracer. Can you please tell me if there are modules for python to simulate the operation of certain network devices? So that in the code you can set their basic parameters and simulate the interaction.

The purpose of the emulator is not entirely clear. If there is a need to build a custom network configuration, then I would try to look towards CORE , it seems to have a python API .
I didn’t use the API myself, but I really liked the emulator for the convenience of modeling different network configurations.
