How to write a project for self-study?

Guys, here's a question, how to write a project in order to gain experience? And now, in more detail, I write in C #, I have been working for about 1 year, in general, June, they trust tasks to write something there, write something here, fix it here, etc., I’ve sorted out the language during this time, but I want more, so that to gain experience, I decided to cut my CRM system project, and here is the question of how to do it right, just code and if I don’t know something in Google, or study some topic in C # and immediately apply it in my project, in general, which is better and will it be more efficient?

Great. Start with what you need mini programs for PC, phone, you can indulge in 2D games. In extreme cases, if there are no thoughts, create a clone of someone else's program in the middle of the project, a bunch of your ideas will appear.

Stage 1 - analysis of the subject area, well, designing nearby. Write what you mean by "your CRM-system". Sketch in broad strokes what parts are needed in this system like "Database", "application", API maybe. Well, from a running start, dive into the bowels of the design of each individual node.
