How to write a program that loops through a set of transactions?

I'm learning C++ from a book. After one of the topics started to complete the task, the question in this task is: "Write a program that cycles through a set of transactions of sold books and displays them on standard output." Was specific to me the part of a question is not clear: "cyclically sorting out a dial-up of transactions". Explain this task to me, I really want to continue.
