How to wrap text on a new line in Putty?
The line goes beyond the limits, the expansion of the number of columns is not very pleasing.
It is necessary that there was an automatic transfer to a new line.
I did something before, I can't remember.

Putty has nothing to do with it. Same effect in other terminals.
imho, the specific program which deduces the text is "guilty". Blame the quotes, because this could be a feature, not a bug.
Compare the output ps -ef
(there are usually long lines there)
and the output ps -ef | cat
. In the second case, line wrapping occurs. Hope this helps.
