How to work with the Google Drive shared folder without wasting your own GB?

Hey!

Faced a small problem. Registered a Google account to store tons of general information, paid for 1 TB of data. We created a shared folder for everyone (there are several people in the team who regularly create and update tables and documents), shared it with everyone with access to editing, started working, and it turned out that all new uploaded files consume Disk space of the person who uploads the file.

Those. we have 1 TB free on our [email protected] account, a person from the [email protected] account uploaded a 4 GB video and ate 4 GB of his Disk, and 1 TB remained on [email protected]

Is it possible to somehow get around this problem, so that all users working with the shared folder would consume only the space on the main account?

And if not, what are some reliable and solid file sharing services that allow you to work together (using a common space) and integrate with Google Docs / Spreadsheets / Presentations? I really do not want to get off them, a very convenient thing.

PS Considered Yandex, but their integration with Microsoft Office Online was a little disappointing.

Well, there are crutches if the default behavior does not suit you.
For example CarotDav or Otixo
They allow you to have a Google drive, but files do not take up space on the local disk.
