How to work with stm on linux?

I don’t know the C syntax well, but I’m not averse to learning the assembler if necessary, what toolkit would you recommend at the minimum so as not to clog the system with all sorts of unnecessary utilities and to stick to gcc. By the way, I took this controller on Alikha, in addition I took the st-link v2 flasher in the kit, but I would like to communicate more closely with the "paws" of the controller
