How to work correctly through shh?

I’m used to connecting via ftp, sftp to solve small tasks on projects
, it’s convenient and fast to do this through notepad ++ nppftp (if you make changes) or filezilla (if you need to upload something)
they threw off access to shh and I won’t know how to make changes on this connection
there are ssh console programs, there is something like a browser
how to work via ssh? Tell
