How to win synchronicity?

Here's the thing... There is a module that contains the StageService service with setStage and getStage methods, and there is a directive that creates a canvas, an instance of Stage, passes the canvas to the constructor and then passes the instance to the service. Next, in the app, I call run, in which I get the StageService service, but its getStage returns undefined. And this is not surprising because the sequence goes in reverse order. Is it possible to win somehow?
