How to vector "hole" a div along the text path?

The question is how to do this without using the corresponding vector image (white in the picture), but only with the help of code.
Something similar is done using SVG masks. But in all the implementations I have seen, everything is exactly the opposite - an image / gradient / something else is poured into the text.
