How to validate user input against database in ASP NET?

Such a task. The database has a table with questions and correct answers to them. The user enters his answer in the field and:
- if it is correct, a modal window appears, where it is written that the answer is correct
- if it is incorrect, a modal window appears and informs me about it

I was advised to do this check in JavaScript, tell me how it can be implemented
