How to use vuex with apollo graphQL?

Good afternoon, I'm trying apollo for the first time, and it's not entirely clear how to use vuex with it and is it necessary at all?
If not, how to change states in it? If in vuex we have actions and mutations for this.
Let's say I added a product to the cart, how to organize this with vuex everything is clear, but not with graphQL
