How to use third party .net framework library in .net core?

There is a third-party library sharpened under .net framework ~4.5. There is also a project on .net core
. You need to somehow refer this library in the project. It doesn't work directly. A local nuget repository is not an option
. There is an option to wrap it in the .net standard library, but as I understand it, some of the functionality may not be available
. Has anyone had experience with a similar problem?
