How to use providers in yii2-giiant?

I reviewed a lot of information, both official and not on CRUD generator for yii2 - yii2-giiant. There is no sensible explanation for using providers : how to connect, how to use? Interested in particular: CallbackProvider, RelationProvider, DateTimeProvider.
It is necessary, respectively, for the automatic generation of certain wrappers for fields by name (and possibly by type), auto-generation of drop-down lists by table links, generation of date / time input by field type.
Any verified and sensible information will do. It is possible in English!
