How to use php sessions in react?

Good day. I am writing a simple educational project. React contact list type app. The backend is written in pure Php on openServer. I have experience writing authorization for simple sites without using frameworks, using php sessions. Now I want to repeat the same for my react application.
How can this be implemented? Suppose I have the following php files: index.php, profile.php, registation.php
