How to upload laravel project to hosting?

Perhaps a hackneyed question, but rather problematic for me. I am a layman, and I don’t know how to deploy an application on a hosting (namely laravel). I tried to load the application on openshift , the version was required no higher than 5.4 , and I do not want to roll back from 5.5 to 5.4 . I also tried to upload to fortrabbit, where the free tariff is only available within 72 hours. In general, the goal is just to test the application for now. In general , how to properly upload a project to a hosting , what 's the short order of actions , and most importantly , what kind of hosting can be suitable for laravel 5.1 with php 5.5 ? I just remembered heroku, will it fit? Thanks in advance )

According to the idea, for Laravel, any hosting that supports the libraries of the required version is suitable. And download the engine itself via SFTP (or FTP).
