How to upload a sitemap in ModX Revolution?

You need to upload sitemap.xml to ModX Revolution 2.5 .
This file is available in the address bar (...site.ru/sitemap.xml), but it is nowhere on the server. As I understand it, it is generated by the system?
If I just put my file in the root, will the system recognize it as the main one or is everything not so simple and do I need to edit some settings?

In general, I took a chance, threw the file into the root, it worked.
