How to upload a project to heroku for free?

I'm trying to upload a small application and now, when mLab MongoDB connects to the git repository, an error is generated:

Please verify your account to install this add-on plan (please enter a credit card)

those. Is it necessary to enter Credit Card data there or choose a paid plan for Mongo?
