How to upgrade to Ubuntu 14.04 from LiveCD or liveusb?
Hello! The question is, I need to upgrade from Ubuntu 13.10 to Ubuntu 14.04 using a liveCD (liveUSB, or iso image) because there is no internet. When you insert the disk with the image into the cd-rom, a window appears if you press the start button, the ubuntu update center opens and that's it. Tell me what's the catch? Thanks in advance!

In the ubuntu update center, after pressing the button, the section of your livecd with packages should open, and therefore updates for existing packages should be seen. Just click update and the system will do everything for you. If no updates are visible, just run the installation of the image. The installer will find the ubuntu partition on your hard drive and offer to update again.
