How to update PHP to version 5.5.7 on OS X Mavericks?

Hello.
On my poppy is php with the old version 5.3.1.
Tell me how can I upgrade to the latest (5.5.7) version. I already downloaded everything from the official site, I'm interested in exactly how to install it.

I recommend installing homebrew (brew), and updating php and other things through it.

onedev.net/post/199 apache2.4 is installed along with php and some problems appear, in the new version of apache, two directives will need to be added to Wirth hosts, and hosts should now be with the .conf extension
