How to update NodeJS?

Actually the question is in the title.
OS - OS X Yosemite latest version
As far as I remember, I installed NodeJS by simply downloading from the office. site.

It makes sense to install iojs right away . 1) Fully backwards compatible, at least on Windows and Linux at one time nothing had to be changed to make it work. 2) iojs and nodejs are now merging, the next major version of the node will be number 4 and will be based on iojs.

uninstall the old version, download and install the new one
Or you can use nvm
