How to update libstdc++.so.6?

The application requires a newer version, which is not in the base set of Centos 7. I tried to install devtoolset-6, and gcc is now a newer version, but the file was not updated.

sudo yum install devtoolset-6-gcc*
scl enable devtoolset-6 bash
gcc --version
