How to understand the diagrams?

Tell me what you can read to figure out how the keyboard works with the processor in this diagram. For example, so that it would be possible to solve the problem when it is shown that some key is pressed and, according to the scheme, determine its binary code.

Or, on this diagram, determine which binary code is needed in order for some figure to be displayed (I apologize for the terrible appearance of the diagram)

I read e tanenbaum computer architecture 5th edition, but I didn’t find anything like that ..

Digital circuitry is needed, IMHO.
