How to understand FX?

Tell me how to understand the basics of javafx, how these or those methods of creating a scene differ, how and in what case to do it right, what are the rules for good code (namely, when you work with FX). How to create your own views and how to modify existing ones.
I need to develop a program on fx, I am familiar with java, but I understand fx poorly. You need to add a window to the chart that will appear when you click on a point on the chart and in which some information will be displayed. For example, there is a graph of the revolutions of an electric motor, and by clicking on a certain point on the graph, I want to display information about what revolutions were at the moment, plus other data not displayed on the graph, but useful for a person looking at the graph, such as voltages, currents, plus some sensor readings).
I don't understand how to implement it. Or it can be done in html+css+javascript and just put into the program in a webview. FX gurus tell me the options for how to do this, the more of them the better
