How to translate the site into other languages?

Please tell me who makes translations of their websites or clients' websites...? Does everyone use plugins? Is it possible to somehow implement a translation through Google api? Or do you write everything from scratch yourself?

yes in different ways:
- quickly and clumsily: the browser itself offers a translation, or a link to some google translate, or some google translate once and save the result.
- normal: sane manual translation.
