How to translate a WordPress plugin?

Good afternoon.
I installed the plugin, but it only has an English translation. Unfortunately, all the translation tools described on the Internet are too old and not suitable for new versions of wordpress. I tried to translate the lines manually in the .mo and .po files, but after replacing them with Russian phrases and saving them in the admin panel, all the phrases are still written in English.
How can I translate the plugin?

poedit edit the .po file and "save directory". You will get a finished .mo.
At the end of last year, I bothered with this, found some kind of online service that can be used instead of poedit.
https://localise.biz/free/poeditor something like this
