How to transfer Laravel website database to hosting?

I am studying Laravel, when transferring the database to the hosting (more precisely, directly when importing the dump), I received an error:

ERROR 1071 (42000) at line 55: Specified key was too long; max key length is 767 bytes

I don't understand what the key is? Support tried to increase the limit to 1000 - it does not help. MySQL versions are slightly different on the hosting and on the local machine, but I think that this parameter can somehow be set and get rid of the error.
