How to transfer author's content to your own blog so that search engines consider articles in the blog to be original?

I have a blog on Habré and on Spark. I noticed that competitors have their own blogs and they are quoted in search engines more highly than articles on Habré or Spark. Apparently this is due to the general focus of the site and its subject matter.
On my site, now, in fact, there is only a landing page, the rest is closed under authorization. I want to make a blog to raise the amount of unique content for search engines.
As I have seen, there is a tactic in which first the publication goes on the blog, then the search engines are notified that the new article is ready on the site, and after a while (up to a week) content can be written on third-party blogs, for example.
But, how can I transfer existing articles without deleting them in the source? At the same time, in the case of habr, articles are copied many times on various sites.
I think it will be enough to link to the blog (as if it were the source) in those articles that I will transfer and adapt? Can search engines "sanctions" work on me for copying my own content?
