How to tighten materiel?

Goodnight!
The problem is this: I graduated from Moscow State University and realized that mathematics attracts more than economics, and Big Data and Data science are more and more in demand every day, and there is nowhere without mathematics. what to do ? how to pull up the lost and untold at the Faculty of Economics? Maybe a second higher education? or on your own?
There is a classmate who just spent the whole day solving problems from the Bauman textbook and in 1.5 years trained himself so that he ended up in a dream company in the analytics department. I'm afraid that on my own I will climb into the wrong jungle, and no one will be able to check and suggest. But even at universities it is not always possible for a teacher to explain to you some even basic things. I really look forward to your answers and advice courses / sites / books

  • Pull up matan on some Mafprofi .
  • Learn programming and specialized technologies (R, Python, etc).
  • Find a course on the courser (or other platform) by data channel or big data.
  • Start developing mini-projects.
  • Ideally , to enter the Yandex ShAD, but this is quite difficult ( example of introductory ).

That is, after Moscow State University you are not able to raise the material yourself? A car of problem books with solutions, dozens of suggestions from tutors - you can agree on consultations once a week. For the first time, you should even have enough mathematical analysis with economy.
There are several books specifically on data analysis (in R, for example) in Russian.
And if you do where, then only in ShAD or in graduate school.

I'm afraid

This is the root of all troubles :)
Instead of trying and doing, and this is the only effective method, you sit out time on the toaster.

Learn R or Python, take some course on data analysis on the courser, and go ahead - look for a job. The longer you sit "self-learning" without real work experience - the more time you will lose.

In general, it is strange that at MSU there is such a low level of mathematical training in the economy. Usually, average university courses in matan and LA are enough to calmly understand what is happening. Pull up these disciplines. Then it would be nice to have solid knowledge of theory and matstat.
Learn one of the languages: R or Python.
After that, all sorts of courses on DataCamp, Coursera, etc.
