How to test Chrome OS under VirtualBox on Mac OS?

An attempt to install Chrome Os on a Macbook Air running VirtualBox 4.3.6 ( a release designed for Mac OS) to get a "live" experience with the basic functions of the system was successful, with the exception of no sound and video playback failure (which makes it impossible to watch Google's video instructions on use of the tested product). Is it possible to get the full functionality of Chrome OS under OS X 10.9.1, and how can I do it?
